Gonzales sits about thirty-five minutes south of us, and it is two towns in one as far as gutter work goes. There are the older streets around the original town centre, where the houses are modest one-story builds under mature oaks with gutter that has been up long enough to be on its second or third repair. And there is everything that has grown out along Airline and around Lamar-Dixon since — newer subdivisions, retail, and light commercial buildings with long straight rooflines.

That covers clearing by hand rather than blowing debris into the beds, bagging it, hauling it off, then flushing every downspout and watching the outlet run.
